Philippines Mission Trip

 

What it’s like

(Jan. 2018 trip)

​

  • Sort suitcases of donated items from KSS

​

  • Instructions given to students of how to interact and manage activities with the people there

​

  • Many rounds of food distribution – protein-enhanced rice porridge

​

  • Teach children in nursery, and their mothers, how to make bracelets

​

  • Painting a school’s fence

​

  • Dancing with local ladies

​​

  • KSS students take children from the Orphanage on “Fun Ranch” outings

​

  • Doing crafts and playing games with the children

OBJECTIVE 

To make a positive impact on the Filipino community while being challenged to grow in mutual love and sensitivity for those who are different from us.

Meeting

Weekly in SY106-1 (first semester) Tuesday afternoons 3:30-4:30 PM @TKSS.
